HOPES AND DREAMS AND THE POSSIBILITIES OF IT ALL...

We, as a society, are in control of our destiny. Unfortunately, animals and children have circumstances outside their control. It is for this reason above all, that as humans it is our responsibility to utilize the intelligence and resources which are only available to us.

This project is dedicated to "R" DREAM.

In memory of my deceased husband and devoted veterinarian Dr. John E. Leonard, and to the most loving creatures on earth...Great and Small!

My late husband John and I dedicated a great amount of time and energy to the animal industry. Visiting different veterinary clinics, grooming and training facilities, kennels, catteries and animal shelters in a number of different states. We saw many different types of operating procedures and where their success as well as failure stemmed from. We witnessed in every scenario a constant need for continuing education and behavior modification that could improve the facility's outcome. Unfortunately, most facilities work under rigid financial constraints and are unable to expand on the concept of anything over and above the basics. Combining my late husband's 15 years of practicing veterinary medicine, and my 25 years experience in the animal industry, we had the dedication, confidence, and expertise to back our dream.

Our primary objective was to educate the public, facilitate proper preventive health care, and to offer intense, high-quality animal-human interaction we considered "pet therapy." Good for young and old alike!

We found too often people with good intentions became frustrated with the escalating expense of veterinary care, and discontinued proper preventive procedures. We believed offering the necessities at an affordable price would help ensure that procedures were performed, improving the pet and the pet owner's quality of life.

We found many people became overwhelmed due to an inability to handle "high maintenance behavior" in pets and simply give up on the situation instead of trying to understand it, improve it, and continue to be responsible pet owners and receive the benefit of that aspect in their lives.

My children and I are still dedicated to the "DREAM" and believe if we all work together for the sake of the most loving creatures on earth, we can make a difference!

Wild Side Studio wishes to pay tribute to a great humanitarian and animal enthusiast, Mr. James Rutlader, founder of The Rutlader Wildlife Area, for his constant encouragement, unconditional friendship, and unwaivering belief in our project!
