~2010 Update~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2010 has had mixed blessings
for WildSide, 10 months to rebuild our home is more than I would have
ever believed!
Hatching baby chickens in the extended stay hotel we
stayed at, is about the only part of the experience I care to
remember...Being told 2-3 months by the insurance repair restorators,
then somehow every reason under the sun preventing that???
But the good
news... we did survive the learning experience which was more
devastating than the tornado itself and finally got home despite how
far
over projected time and budget it became...
Home Sweet Home may never be the same, but our perseverance did pay
off and finally got to stay home instead of just stopping by and
wishing we could...
WildSide is a family project that over the years has become bigger than we
are and we are unable to continue on our own due to the realities of unforeseen setbacks, but the
commitment to this project is still... solid... in "r"... HEARTS
A small commercial property, soon to open "WildSide Cafe & trading co.", has
been purchased as a generating source of income to further expand the
goal of WildSide Studio's Animal Education Center until our economy
levels out.
In addition to raising money for this WildSide Studio project,
a portion of the proceeds from the WildSide Cafe are being
donated in a *"FYI" fund and will be donated as our commitment today
to further positive growth of area youth through the Rutlader Cowboy
In 1955, Rosa Parks made a decision to defy unjust law for a cause. Her refusal to be treated unfairly had
consequences, far beyond those she was aware...
Had she intended to
change the structure of society???
Or perhaps merely raising
awareness to standards she held true in her heart, and hoped someday a committed
society would live up to the same, compelling them to act.
"No matter what the costs, commitment to higher standards must compel us to act"
~Rosa Parks~
